Blue Meanies are a common strain of cubensis found in Australian dung deposits in the outback that have now been largely domesticated by home growers and industrial growers alike. It shares the bulk of the characteristics of other cubensis species including caramel brown colored caps and white stems, as well as fruiting in clusters. Some distinguishing features of Blue Meanie however, are the white spots on the cap and thicker stems in relation to other species. They grow to about a medium ranged height relative to other cubensis and fruit rather quickly – making them ideal for cultivation. As they are cubensis, they have an average psilocybin content of 0.63% per 1 gram of dried weight. In terms of its effects, this mushroom tends to produce strong visual effects at even moderate doses.
